DESCRIPTION

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Vocational/Specialized Training or Bachelors in Geographic Information Systems or Information Technology
5 plus years of experience with the following: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcMAP, ArcGIS Server, Geodatabases, SQL Server, MS Access, MS Excel, ArcPad, Windows Tablet, Windows Mobile, PowerPoint, and Utility workflow.
2 years of programming experience with strong visual basic programming skills
Development experience with one or more of the following: VBA, MapObjects, ArcGIS Server, ArcObjects, ArcPad, SQL.
Supervisory Experience is required
Knowledge in electric, photovoltaic, water/wastewater and gas utilities using ArcGIS Enterprise Geo-database.
Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Supervises and team leader, mentor role for GIS/GPS employees including guidance on user training, support, and creating an effective team.
Development, Maintenance, and Database administrator, working in unison with Management Information System plans
Maintains & reports the Geodatabase capacity, growth, integrity, and security & operations of the entire GIS system.
Evaluates, develops and provides direction for implementation of Database standards and policies.
User account management, data access, GIS upgrades, and migration projects.
Provides GIS solutions that focus on productivity, efficiency, and improved customer services.
Maintains current knowledge of software and recommends & evaluates new GIS hardware and software.
Defines, develops, and enforces spatial data collection procedure and processes.
Designs and develops comprehensive data collection scripts and Quality control validations.
Ensures data analysis, testing, and quality control practices are conducted within the GIS processes.
Develops short and long term GIS/GPS plans, policies, and procedures
Able to effectively monitor multiple GIS projects and have GIS team & all involved to work together to accomplish company goals & objectives on-time and cost effective manner.
Establishes GIS Standard Reports and may present updates to large groups & teams.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested
