Description: Pueblo Planner - Pay Rate - $73,465.60 / Annual Salaryhttps://www.hrapply.com/sandia/AppJobView.jsp?link=14206&page=AppJobList.jsp&skimSessionName=com.hrlogix.view.tags.bootstrap.table.JobListTable&skimName=requisition.requisition_id&skimNdx=2&op=resetSummary: Under Lands Director provides community development and economic development planning services for the Pueblo of Sandia.Designs and implements land use, infrastructure, housing, transportation, capital, special project, comprehensive, and strategic planning processes to include Land Use and Protection, Infrastructure of Wet and Dry Utility and Surface Water, Transportation Circulation, Annual and Multi-year Capital Improvement, Environmental Protection, General Development Strategy, and Special Projects and Programs.Supports and updates other directors' special projects and program planning to include Village Plan Overall Economic Development Plan and Capital Improvement Plan.Knowledge of Federal, Tribal, State and Local planning funding opportunities.Administers the Pueblo of Sandia Development Guidance System and manages the Pueblo's Development Review Committee.Reviews departments’ annual work plans that inform General Development Strategies.Reviews general development plans from Pueblo enterprises that inform General Development Strategies and economic development planning.Coordinates with multiple departments to develop and maintain a 5 year comprehensive strategic plan for the Pueblo of Sandia.Recommends policies for planning and development.Maintains planning documents and records.Develops budgets using federal grant funds and for planning and development initiatives.Develops annual and five-year housing plans in coordination with the Governor and Tribal Council.Prepares scopes of work and manages planning contracts.Conducts research, collects data, and prepares summaries to assist Tribal Council in making informed decisions.Works with existing health, education, and community service committees and boards on planning needs and issues.As approved by the Pueblo, represents the Pueblo on regional planning bodies and tasks forces.Works with the Census Clerk to maintain Pueblo demographic databases.Identifies potential sources of funding for planning and development initiatives.Prepares and delivers oral, graphic, and written presentations to Tribal Council, the Governor, and others.Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.Please contact me or apply at the link above.
