In the newly released version of Trimble Positions add-in 10.2.2.1 and Positions Mobile extension 10.2.0.2 add support for Mean Sea Level (MSL), also known as orthometric height. Previous versions of Trimble Positions software were expressed as heights above WGS84 ellipsoid (HAE).

This in and of its self is cool however the required Geoid (*.ggf) files are not installed with Trimble Positions software. It is the customer’s responsibility to find files that satisfy their needs. Finding these files can be a bit of a challenge so to help out here is a link to Trimble's geoid file downloads: www.trimble.com/globalTRLTAB.asp?Nav=Collection-71

Once you have the files they need to be saved to your computer in this exact location: C:\ProgramData\Trimble\Positions\10.1\GeoidFiles you will likely need to create the GeoidFiles folder. Once you have the necessary files in the folder everything should work as expected.
