GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under general direction of the GIS Program Manager, this position provides a wide range of GIS technical support. This individual implements GIS in both natural resource and planning contexts and manages highly complex GIS projects across multiple disciplines, performs advanced spatial analysis, geodatabase design, and supports the overall success of the organization, emphasizing a problem-solving orientation, effective communication, focus on continuous improvement, and effective, efficient and accountable service to external and internal customers. The main focus of this position will be the development of analytical products to inform the geomorphology of floodplain characteristics in fulfillment of a grant obligation. The secondary focus of this position will be providing technical support through the GIS helpdesk. Expectations for this position are that the candidate has sufficient knowledge of the necessary tools and skills required to perform their duties. As this is not an entry level position, technical training will not be provided within the first 90 days.
