I have been ESRI authorized GIS Instructor, teaching ArcGIS Desktop I & II for the past 5 years to Tribes in EPA Region 6. ESRI is effectively killing that program. First, making all instructors get re-certified, getting a Comp TIA CTT+ certification, retesting for ArcGIS 10 as a Desktop Associate. And then announcing, even if you accomplish jumping through these flaming hoops they are discontinuing the program anyways within the year.

To continue training Tribes on the GIS basics we have had to look to other types of training. I am going to be doing my first training in August and NO, you can't come. I am going to use this book esripress.esri.com/display/index.cfm?fus...isplay&websiteID=176

What is everyone else using to do their training's with?

I think I am going to like the freedom to be able to discuss things outside of ESRI control.

Hey Robert,

I think we are going to try some video tutorials and see how that goes. I agree that if anyone develops a course it would be well received but who has time to do those.

Frank
