AGOL, storymapping, collaborating with multiple users 6 years 10 months ago #207

Hello,
I am developing a storymap project and have an opportunity to bring in an intern from a local university to assist in the process. I have both a Tribal AGOL account and a personal account which I created before I got my Tribal AGOL account.

I have a couple of questions about how two different users might be able to collaborate on this project.
1) If I start the project using my Tribal AGOL account, and the intern has only a non-tribal access to AGOL, will s/he be able to open the document?

2) I'm thinking I will need to create a group that would include the intern (and any other potential collaborators such as their faculty advisor). Is this the mechanism by which we would both be able to collaborate and develop the storymap together?

I obviously am a newbie to all of this. I would appreciate any insight into this process!

Thank you!

Only if you set the item to public, since the intern does not have access to AGOL through NTGISC (In order to request an AGOL account through NTGISC the individual must be a tribal employee). With an AGOL account through NTGISC you can share data within your designated tribal group, the Tribal GIS community, and/or publicly.

One of the limitations of AGOL access through NTGISC is you do not have the ability to create additional groups or manage members. If your organization has a need to create additional membership groups and add non-tribal members then you would need to consider getting an AGOL account through Esri where you would have full account management functions.
